The stand is made from steel with a brass stem and has a textured paint finish on the exterior and semi-matte enamel on the ash holder. There is some surface rust to the ash holder and a couple of paint losses to the exterior...easily restorable. The ash holder is removable so this could easily be used as a planter or other desk accessory.
